RemindMeSong ("we", "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that tracks songs you listen to on YouTube and helps you find forgotten songs using AI. Your privacy matters to us.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
• YouTube playback data: We detect the title, artist, and URL of music videos you play on YouTube to build your personal song library.
• Bookmarks and likes: Songs you explicitly bookmark or like on YouTube are marked in your library.
• Search queries: When you use the AI search feature, your search descriptions are sent to our server to find matching songs.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To build and display your personal music library
• To power AI-based song search and identification
• To send flashback reminders about songs you may have forgotten
• To sync your library across devices via your account

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not track your general browsing history — only YouTube music playback
• We do not collect financial, health, or location data
• We do not read your emails, messages, or any other personal communications

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the extension's functionality. We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., total number of songs tracked) that cannot identify individual users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Authentication tokens are stored locally in Chrome's storage API. We use HTTPS for all communication between the extension and our servers.

6. Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In: Used for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Affiliate links: The extension may provide links to Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music. Clicking these links is optional and subject to those services' own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion of all your data by contacting us. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the extension
